Land O’ Lakes, Fla- Since 2004, the Xtreme Bass Series has been the leader in local bass tournaments across the state of Florida, creating a platform for anglers to compete in close to home, team events. The 2020 season is expected to be the best yet, featuring 11 different divisions, including the new traveling Citrus and Polk divisions. The 11 divisions consist of 9 events throughout the season, creating 99 opportunities for anglers to win cash and qualify for the end of season championship. Anglers qualifying for the 2020 Championship have the opportunity to win a new Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XS valued at $40,000.00.
The 2020 Championship is scheduled for November 5th thru 7th on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes and will be hosted by Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina, and RV Resort, with the annual Championship Banquet being held on Thursday, November 5th. Anglers must qualify for the 2020 championship by competing in 7 of 9 events in any one division, or 8 events in a combination of any division. Due to the location of this season’s championship and to create the most level playing field possible, the Toho division will be restricted to competing on Lake Toho only and will not be allowed to lock through to the lower lakes. This also means that Toho will be off limits during the 2020 Championship.
The 2020 divisions are:
Citrus (traveling)
Garcia
Harris Chain
Istokpoga
Johns Lake
Lochloosa
Polk (traveling)
Rodman/St. Johns
Suwannee
Tarpon
Toho
The 2020 season kicks off this weekend with the Garcia and Rodman/St. Johns River divisions on Saturday, January 4th, as well as the Citrus division on Sunday, January 5th at Lake Rousseau. Anglers must be current members of Xtreme Bass to compete. Membership fee is $35.00 per angler and gives access to any divisional event throughout the season. Entry fees are $120.00 per team.
