Land O Lakes, FL- We have been continuing to monitor the situation with COVID-19 that the entire world is facing. Reports came out today that the United States now leads all countries with total number of confirmed cases of individuals infected with coronavirus. Though modifications can be made for our tournaments to practice social distancing guidelines recommended by the Center for Disease Control, we will be postponing all events through April 12th. We have to take into consideration that many families are beginning to experience displaced incomes due to being out of work, uncertainty of ramp availability is ever evolving on a daily basis, and the added social exposure our anglers will experience pre-tournament (gas, ice, entry fees, etc.).
The safety of everyone involved in our tournaments, including anglers and directors, is our primary concern. We will continue to monitor CDC, federal, state and local guidelines and adjust tournament operations or reschedule events beyond April 12th as necessary. We also encourage our anglers to follow CDC guidelines to help prevent infection.
The following events will be rescheduled:
Harris Chain-March 21st
Lochloosa-March 21st
Tarpon-March 21st
Suwannee-March 22nd
Toho-March 29th
Garcia-April 4th
Citrus-April 5th
Istokpoga-April 5th
Johns Lake-April 5th
Rodman/St. Johns-April 5th
These events will be rescheduled at later dates TBD. We appreciate all of our anglers and directors who make Xtreme the largest and strongest grass roots tournament trail in Florida. We look forward to continuing that as this crisis dwindles. Stay tuned to XBSeries.com and the Xtreme Bass Series Facebook page for updates.
