Palatka, FL – Chad Schroeder from Zephyrhills, FL, and Anthony Cilladi from Oviedo, FL, emerged victorious among 110 teams at the 2024 Blazer Boats Xtreme Bass Series Championship, presented by Mercury Marine and Visit Florida’s Putnam County. The duo weighed in a two-day total of 50.31 pounds, securing a 2025 Blazer 625, Mercury 250 Pro XS package valued at $77,000.
Entering the championship as divisional points champions for the Lake Toho division, Schroeder and Cilladi competed for the Fitzgerald Fishing Team of the Year title against other divisional champions. The highest finishing divisional points champion earns the title, along with free entries into one division for the following season and a prize package from Fitzgerald Fishing.
Additionally, Schroeder and Cilladi contended for the Michael J. Blocher Memorial Award, awarded to the top finishing team at the championship participating in the Frequent Fishing Program. This program includes teams that compete in 12 or more events during the season and participate in the championship. With their tournament win, Schroeder and Cilladi clinched both prestigious awards.

About Xtreme Bass Series
The Xtreme Bass Series is the largest grassroots bass tournament trail across Florida, featuring 14 divisions and 126 events throughout the 2024 season. Anglers can compete in close-to-home events on local bodies of water, keeping costs down and affording them the opportunity to compete in the end of season championship. Teams who compete in 7 of 9 events in one division, or 8 events in a combination of divisions will qualify for the end of season championship event. The 2024 Championship will be held October 31st-November 2nd at the St. John’s River in Putnam County.
