Land O’ Lakes, FL- For only the second time, Florida’s premier grass roots bass fishing event will take place within the most centralized location in the state. The Xtreme Bass Series Championship will head back to the Harris Chain of Lakes for the 2023 Championship November 2-4. Pre-tournament meeting will be held at the Venitian Center on Thursday November 2nd. Launch and weigh-in will take place at Venitian Gardens Friday November 3rd and Saturday November 4th.
Visit Lake County and Lake Big Bass will once again serve has host for the 19th annual event.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Lake County for the 2023 season,” said Xtreme Bass Series President Brian Stahl. “Lake County and the Harris Chain of Lakes is home to some of the best bass fishing in the world, and we look forward to showcasing all they have to offer.”
The last time the event was held on the Harris Chain of Lakes, the team of Jeremy Smith and Jim Folks inked their third championship victory, winning their third prize boat in a five year span with a 2-day total of 49.56 pounds.
The Harris Chain of Lakes includes Lake Harris, Little Lake Harris, Lake Griffin, Lake Eustis, Lake Dora, Lake Carlton, Horseshoe Lake, Lake Denham, Lake Beauclair, and Lake Apopka. In all, the Harris Chain of Lakes covers approximately 106,000 acres of water to dissect and navigate to find the winning bag. The various bodies of water can set up a little differently from one to the next, giving competitors a variety of options on how to go about finding fish.

The Xtreme Bass Series is the largest grassroots bass tournament trail across Florida, featuring 12 divisions and 108 events throughout the season. Anglers can compete in close-to-home events on local bodies of water, keeping costs down and affording them the opportunity to compete in the end of season championship.
