Four qualifiers lead to the Harris Chain Championship, with a new season points race and a $1,000 drawing for teams fishing all four qualifiers.
Land O Lakes, Fla. – Xtreme Bass Series today announced the 2027 schedule for the CopperState Tackle Limited Team Open. Following its inaugural season, the series returns with four qualifying events across Florida and a season-ending Championship on the Harris Chain.
Entry fee for each event drop from $600 to $400 per team for 2027, making the series more cost effective while preserving strong earning potential against a field capped at just 60 teams. At a full field, a qualifier win is worth up to $11,850 with contingencies. Events will continue to pay one place for every six teams entered.
Registration for returning 2026 teams opens November 1. Priority registration for teams fishing all 4 events will open to new teams November 8. Rules and registration details will be available at www.XBSeries.com.
2027 Schedule
| Date | Event | Location |
|---|---|---|
| January 16, 2027 | Qualifier | Kissimmee Chain – Camp Mack |
| February 20, 2027 | Qualifier | Lake Okeechobee – Scott Driver |
| April 3, 2027 | Qualifier | Orange Lake – Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings ramp* |
| May 23, 2027 | Qualifier | Harris Chain – Venetian Gardens (Sunday event) |
| September 17 – 18, 2027 | Championship | Harris Chain- Venetian Gardens |
*If water levels are too low for the Orange Lake event, the qualifier will move to Lake Rousseau.
The top 15 teams from each qualifier will earn an invitation to the Championship. With continued support from CopperState Tackle, the championship will once again award a guaranteed $20,000 first-place cash prize. With contingencies, an eligible Championship winner can earn up to $25,350.
Points Race
New for 2027, the Limited Team Open will track points across all four qualifiers. Every team will remain in the season points race, including teams that have already earned a Championship invitation.
Invitations to the Championship resulting from teams qualifying more than once will be offered to the highest-ranked teams in the season points standings that have not already qualified, until the field is filled.
4×4 program
Also new for 2027, the 4×4 program rewards teams that fish the full qualifier schedule. Every team that competes in all four qualifiers will be entered into a drawing for $1,000.
“We took a good look after a successful first year and made some changes to make it more affordable while keeping a lucrative payout structure,” said Brian Stahl, President of Xtreme Bass Series. “Every event with a full field will pay back more than 102 percent with contingencies on an entry that’s a third lower than last year, and the new points race keeps every team in the hunt all season. With a field capped at 60 teams, your odds at taking home some serious money couldn’t be better.”
