2023 Season Comes to a Close, Championship Within Sight

The 2023 season of the Xtreme Bass Series has come to a close, and what a season it has been! Many big bags were brought across our scales, along with many big bass. A total of 81 TrophyCatch Quality fish were caught and weighed during the 108 divisional events through 12 divisions across the state. All of which point towards November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at the Harris Chain of Lakes for the 2023 Blazer Boats Xtreme Bass Series Championship presented by Mercury Marine and Discover Lake County. Teams will have qualified by one of two ways. Compete in 7 events within one division, or compete in 8 events in combination of all 12 divisions. For those teams who have qualified, you should have received an email with all the below information.

Entry fee is $400.00 per team.
Entries must be received no later than Sunday October 29th, 2023, but please try to have in as soon as possible to have an accurate head count for dinner planning. 
2023 Championship Information-
  • Blazer 625 Pro Elite with a 250 HP Mercury Pro XS, Bob’s Machine Shop Hydraulic Jackplate, Power-Pole Move, and two 8′ Power Pole Blades for 1st place prize to top finishing team. 

  • 1-in-5 payback event
  • 2 Big Bass awards paid out each day of competition
  • Divisional points champions will compete against one another within the championship to claim the Xtreme Bass Series Team of the Year honor. Team of the Year will receive entries into one division for the 2024 season. Divisional Points Champions will also receive one of the first 12 boat positions for day 1 launch.
  • Frequent Fishing Program:
    • Teams who competed in 12 or more events throughout the 2023 season will be entered into the Frequent Fishing Program to compete for the Michael J. Blocher Memorial Award and $500.00 cash prize. The highest finishing qualified team during the championship will win the Michael J. Blocher Frequent Fishing Award.
  • Meeting and Banquet Dinner
    • All teams are required to attend the Championship banquet dinner and meeting. All teams will have pre-registered by Sunday October 29th to allow ample time for head count for dinner and planning. Meeting will take place at the Venetian Center on Thursday, November 2nd. Check in will begin at 3:30 pm. Food will begin being served around 5:00 pm. Meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. You will be pulling for your boat chip number. If you want a chance at a higher draw for day 1, come to check in earlier in the afternoon.
