The Inaugural Kiwanis Club of the Azalea City Benefit Bass Tournament is upon us. Coming on the heels of the Bassmaster Elite Series last weekend that showed the St. Johns River fishery can still produce top bags, the KCAC event should generate some big bass as well.
The tournament’s objective is to raise funds for youth programs across Putnam County, including scholarship opportunities. The competition is heating up with a guaranteed first place prize of $5,000.00 and four Big Bass awards up for grabs. The top two Big Bass awards will each receive $1,000.00, while the third and fourth will get $500.00 each.
Pre-registration closes today at noon, but you can still sign up Saturday morning at Palatka City Docks. Entry is $120 per boat. To pre-register, click the link here.
