The Wolfson Children’s Hospital Annual Bass Tournament has been a staple for the tournament bass fishing community since 1989. The event, led by the Baptist Health Plant Facilities team and co-presented by Miller Electric Co. and W.W. Gay Mechanical, Inc., focuses on raising money to fund lifesaving technology and capital improvements at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Over the past 36 years, the event has raised more than $7 Million dollars. The goal for year 37 will be no different than the past, raise as much money as possible to make a difference in the life of a child that is undergoing treatment at Wolfson Children’s Hospital while hosting the largest bass tournament east of the Mississippi.
As the event continues to evolve to create the best experience for the anglers, the 2026 tournament will feature some new and unique changes to the multi-day event structure, moving away from a three-day event and moving to a high excitement two-day format.
The 37th Annual Wolfson Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament will take place along the shores of the world-renowned St. Johns River May 15th and 16th, 2026 at Palatka City Docks.
Friday: The Double Header
Both Friends of Wolfson Children’s and Lads & Lasses events will take place simultaneously on Friday, starting with the newly coined Friends of Wolfson Children’s event (previously VIP & Friends). Prizes for both events will stay the same as they have over the years, with the Top 5 from each event being awarded, plus the Top 2 Big Bass prizes. Teams will not be allowed to double-dip in both events and must choose which event they will compete in. Tournament entry for each event is $120.00
Saturday: The Tradition Continues
The 37th Annual Wolfson Children’s Bass Tournament remains the same legendary event, featuring a $10,000.00 first place prize and a $40,000.00 payout. Saturday will also continue to feature a large raffle at the conclusion of the weigh-in and before awards are handed out. Tournament entry for Saturday’s main event is $140.00.
A Way for Non-Anglers to Participate
Those who may not be tournament competitors, there are still ways for you to participate in donating to the cause! The non-fishing supporters can purchase tickets to the above-stated Saturday raffle, Wolfson Bass Tournament apparel, and enter a drawing for a chance to win a new bass boat! That’s right, Bullet Boats and Mercury Marine have partnered with Wolfson Children’s Hospital once again to offer anglers and non-anglers alike, a chance to win a new Bullet 21XRS, powered by a 250 HP Mercury ProXS. For a suggested donation of $20, anyone can enter the drawing to win.
