What a summer it has been! The season is starting to wind down, but the fish don’t seem to be ready to call it quits. In all, between June and July events to date, 20 bags over 25 pounds have been brought across Xtreme Bass Series scales, along with 20 bass 8 pounds or better, including a 12.50 pound giant landed by Nathan Beasley.
Tom Morgan and Dale Kendrick topped the 32 boat field at the June 18th Orange/Lochloosa divisional event. Morgan and Kendrick weighed a whopping 33.42 pound, 5 bass limit to take home their first win of the season. Tray Bozeman and Woody Bozeman finished in second place with 31.76 pounds. Anchoring their bag were a pair of giants weighing 9.76 pounds and 12.04 pounds respectively. Deryl Williams and Tyler Griffis took home a third place finish with 26.42 pounds, anchored by an 8.51 pound kicker. Rounding out the top 5 were the teams of Rick Bak and Jonathan Semento with 26.04 pounds in fourth place, followed by Ernie Thompson & Austin Thompson in fifth place with 24.58 pounds. Big Bass of the event went to the team of Nathan Beasley and Tommy Beasley with a 12.50 pound Orange Lake giant.
Eric Conant and Mike Foster bested 19 other teams to achieve back to back victories at the June 19th Central Florida event on Lake Parker. Conant and Foster crushed a 22.86 pound, 5 bass limit. Kyle Brewer and Steve Coleman took home a second place finish with 21.84 pounds, anchoring their bag with an 9.43 pound Trophy Catch that also earned the duo the big bass award. Gary Yearry, Jr. and Aaron Phillips finished in third place with 20.89 pounds.
Jim Folks and Jeremy Smith took home their second win in a row at the June 19th Lake Toho divisional event, topping the 20 boat field. The duo who smashed more than 38 pounds at the May 22nd event followed up with another 28.08 pound, 5 bass limit. Joe Condy and Matt Hinman finished the day with a second place finish, weighing a 27.67 pound, 5 bass limit. Anchoring their bag was a 7.79 pound kicker that claimed Big Bass honors for the day. Steven Sanders and Scott McDonald rounded out the Top 3 with a 24.69 pound bag.
AJ Herrera and James Ford inked their first victory of the season during the June 25th Harris Chain divisional event. Herrera and Ford’s winning bag weighed an even 22.00 pounds on 5 bass, and topped the 19 boat field. Eric Panzironi and Rick Bak finished the day up in second place with 21.63 pounds. An 8.69 pound lunker anchored their bag to take home the day’s Big Bass award. Austin Baskette and Calan Hawkins rounded out the Top 3 with a 20.94 pound, 5 bass limit.
Cameron Shoda and Christian Shoda bested the 22 boat field at the Lake Panasoffkee event for the Citrus Division on June 26th. The Shoda brothers weighed a 25.40 pound, 5 bass limit to narrowly take the victory. Blake Briscoe and Brad Briscoe finished narrowly behind in second place with a 25.38 pound, 5 bass limit. Bo Gallant and Dillon Webb finished in third place with 23.55 pounds, followed by Hunter McPherson and Thomas Clark in fourth place with 21.57 pounds. McPherson and Clark anchored their bag with the day’s Big Bass, an 8.20 pound lunker.
McCoy Carter and Roman Carter kicked off the July event schedule with a win at the St. John’s River divisional event on July 2nd. The duo topped the 19 boat field with a 17.29 pound, 5 bass limit, anchored by Big Bass of the day with their 6.80 pound kicker. Gerald Boyd & Jason Gutierrez finished in the runner up spot for the day with 16.21 pounds, followed by Brett Bollinger and Justin Atkinson in third place with 16.04 pounds.
Scott Bradley and DJ Green secured back to back wins at the July 3rd event for the Istokpoga division. Bradley and Green topped the 17 boat field with a 19.24 pound, 5 bass limit. Kyle Wieczorek and Greg Jones grabbed the second place spot with a 17.94 pound, 5 bass limit. Third place went to the team of Tom McGinnis and Dave Maurice with a 14.92 pound, 5 bass limit. A 7.51 pound kicker secured the Big Bass award for the team of Daniel Buckholt and James Naugle.
George Short and Junior Solis inked their second victory of the season in the Garcia division at the July 9th event. Short and Solis weighed a 20.82 pound, 5 bass limit to top the 13 boat field. Jeremy Shekell and Austin Shekell finished in second place with an 18.83 pound, 5 bass limit. Mike Akers and Truman Patterson took the third place spot with 15.69 pounds. Akers and Patterson anchored their bag with the day’s Big Bass, a 5.58 kicker.
Justin Jones and Robert Glass topped the John’s Lake field at the July 10th divisional event. Jones and Glass beat the 11 other teams with an 18.64 pound, 5 bass limit. They anchored their winning bag with a 6.34 pound kicker that earned Big Bass honors for the day. Leandro Saratt and Matt Holben finished up in second place with an 11.44 pound, 5 bass limit. Third place was anchored by Tyler Maring and Uby Rosell with a 10.82 pound, 5 bass bag.
Aaron Yavorsky and Ryan Gomez got the best of the Lake Tarpon divisional field during the July 10th event. Yavorsky and Gomez smashed a 24.04 pound, 5 bass limit to top the 10 boat field. Yavorsky and Gomez anchored their winning bag with a 5.32 pound kicker to claim Big Bass honors as well. Richard Dunham and Lance Pemble took home a second place finish with a 20.87 pound, 5 bass limit. Third place went to the team of Gary Munchler and Richard Anthony with 16.93 pounds.
Andrew Hall and Will Brown bested the 29 boat Kissimmee Division field at the July 10th event out of Camp Mack. Hall and Brown crushed a 29.33 pound, 5 bass limit to take the victory. The duo anchored their bag with an 8.22 pound lunker. John Stambaugh and Mike Akers finished the day in second place with 27.25 pound, 5 bass limit-anchored by an 8.06 pound lunker. Third place and Big Bass went to the team of Rodney Hunter and Brian Stillwell with a 26.91 pound, 5 bass limit. Their big bass went 8.38 pounds on the scales. Marlon Crowder and Kolbi Morgan locked down a fourth place finish with 23.06 pounds.
The Orange Lake division has been absolutely on fire when it comes to dishing out big weights, and the July 16th event was no different. Mike Hafer and Chad Dorland smashed a 35.04 pound, 5 bass limit to rise above the 37 boat field. Hafer and Dorland anchored their winning bag with a 10.92 pound giant to also claim Big Bass honors for the day. Joe Yarborough and Dewayne Moore crushed a 27.72 pound, 5 bass limit to take home second place. Yarborough and Moore anchored their bag with a 9.74 pound lunker. Third place went to the team of Michael Boyette and Ben Broughton with a 22.82 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the top 5 were the teams of Eric Panzironi and Jonathan Semento in fourth place with 22.72 pounds, followed by Tray Bozeman and Woody Bozeman in fifth place with 22.59 pounds.
Joey Pate and Logan Pate topped the 34 boat field at the July 17th Suwannee River divisional event. The father-son duo and reigning Team of the Year weighed a 12.67 pound, 5 bass limit towards their victory. Chuck Swann and Robby Ratliff finished the day in second place with an 11.87 pound, 5 bass limit. Swann and Ratliff anchored their bag with a 4.91 pound kicker to take Big Bass honor for the day. Michael Blakely and Dalton Blakely brought an 11.62 pound, 5 bass limit to the scales to claim third place. Rounding out the Top 5 were the teams of Matt Cummings and Gary Ward in fourth place with 11.15 pounds, followed by Nicholas Silcox and George Allen in fifth place with 11.11 pounds.
The Central Florida divisional event on July 17th at Lake Hamilton was won by Troy Tucker and Terry Tucker. The Tuckers won the event by a huge margin, topping the 13 boat field with a 21.51 pound, 5 bass limit. Their bag was anchored by two fish over 7 pounds, including a 7.76 pound kicker that claimed Big Bass honors. Second place went to the team of Terry Pierce and Tramell Vickers with an 11.67 pound, 5 bass limit. Colby Evans and Jesse Smith finished the day with a third place finish, weighing an 11.10 pound, 5 bass limit.
AJ Herrera and James Ford inked their second win in a row at the July 23rd Harris Chain divisional event. Herrera and Ford weighed a 24.89 pound, 5 bass limit to top the 22 boat field. Terry Mullis and Kim Mullis finished close behind in second place with an even 24.00 pounds. The Mullis’s anchored their bag with a beautiful 9.28 pound lunker to also take Big Bass honors. Joey Bloom and Dylan Westhelle finished the day in third place with a 21.43 pound, 5 bass limit followed by Richard Yarborough and Harmon Young in fourth place with 15.34 pounds.
Jeremy Smith and Jim Folks hit the trifecta at the Lake Toho divisional event on July 24th. The duo earned their third victory in a row over a 22 boat field, weighing a 30.80 pound, 5 bass limit. They narrowly edged out the team of Marlon Crowder and Kolbi Morgan who finished in second place with a 30.71 pound, 5 bass limit. Third place went to the team of Erik Tilson and David Harris with a 25.82 pound, 5 bass limit. Ron Shakespeare and Jerrod Albright took home a fourth place finish with a 24.69 pound, 5 bass limit.

The Xtreme Bass Series is the largest grassroots bass tournament trail across Florida, featuring 12 divisions and 108 events throughout the season. Anglers can compete in close-to-home events on local bodies of water, keeping costs down and affording them the opportunity to compete in the end of season championship. Anglers who compete in 7 of 9 events in one division, or 8 events in a combination of divisions will qualify for a chance to fish for a new Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XS package at the championship event. The 2022 Championship will be held November 3-5 at Lake Okeechobee. Teams who compete in 12 or more events during the season will qualify for a chance to win the Michael J. Blocher Memorial Award during the championship event. Membership is $35.00 per angler, $120.00 entry per event.
