Danny Thompson & Ricky Grant top the field at Rousseau

 

Danny Thompson and Ricky Grant got the best of the Citrus Division at the July 31st event on Lake Rousseau. Thompson and Grant weighed a 22.66 pound, 5 bass limit to take home the win over the 23 boat field. Their bag edged out the second place team of Clint Combast and Tracy Isabella by less than half a pound. Combast and Isabella weighed a 22.23 pound, 5 bass limit to take the runner up spot. Kenny Blake and Will Von Kuehlman finished in third place with an 18.73 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the Top 5 were the teams of Raymond Galler and Chico Barnett in fourth place with 18.60 pounds, followed by Brian Varga and Chris Addair in fifth place with 17.73 pounds. Big Bass honors went to the team of Chad Dorland and Isaac Dorland with an 8.06 lunker.

Derek Daniels (L) & Michael Johnson (R) top the field at Rodman

Derek Daniels and Michael Johnson bested the 21 boat field at the August 6th Rodman/St. John’s divisional event out of Kenwood Landing. Daniels and Johnson weighed a 15.51 pound, 5 bass limit to take home the win. A 5.06 pound kicker also gave them Big Bass honors for the event and helped in squeaking by the second place team of Brandon Williams and Tyler Griffis. Williams and Griffis weighed a 15.17 pound, 5 bass limit to claim the runner up spot. Brett Bollinger and Justin Atkinson took home a third place finish with a 12.16 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the top 5 were the teams of James Williams and Josh Howard in fourth place with 12.14 pounds, followed by Avery Romero and Dillon Drury in fifth place with 10.01 pounds.

Rich Anthony (L) & Gary Munchler (R) took home the win at Lake Tarpon

Gary Munchler and Rich Anthony inked their second win of the season at the August 6th Lake Tarpon divisional event. Munchler and Anthony weighed an 18.21 pound, 5 bass limit to top the 10 boat field. Steve Mui and Richard Dunham took home a second place finish with a 15.71 pound, 5 bass limit. Ricky Teschendorf and Blake Mead rounded out the Top 3 with a 15.08 pound, 5 bass limit. John Horsefield and Kyle Turner took Big Bass honors with a 5.13 pound kicker.

Kyle Wieczorek and Greg Jones beat out the 20 boat field at the August 7th Lake Istokpoga divisional event. Wieczorek and Jones weighed a 21.77 pound, 5 bass limit en route to their victory. Chris Crow and Justin Ladosa finished the day in second place with a 16.64 pound, 5 bass limit. Anchoring their bag was a 6.49 pound kicker that also gave the team Big Bass honors for the event. Jon Lanier and Eric Harris finished in third place with a 15.83 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the Top 5 were the teams of Raymond Durdine and James Creute in fourth place with 12.09 pounds, followed by Scott Bradley and D.J. Green in fifth place with 11.89 pounds.

David Simpson & Adam Eddington hold up their 2nd place bag at John’s Lake

Chase Morgan and Phillip Morgan took home a win at the August 7th John’s Lake divisional event. The Morgan’s weighed a 14.09 pound, 5 bass limit to beat out the 18 boat field. David Simpson and Adam Eddington grabbed a second place finish with a 13.88 pound, 5 bass limit. John Dickson and John Dickson finished the day in third place with a 13.14 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the top 5 were the teams of Kody Keller and Ethan Shelton in fourth place with 12.41 pounds, followed by Rusty White and Renee White in fifth place with 11.62 pounds. White and White secured Big Bass honors for the event with a 6.28 pound kicker.

The Xtreme Bass Series is the largest grassroots bass tournament trail across Florida, featuring 12 divisions and 108 events throughout the season. Anglers can compete in close-to-home events on local bodies of water, keeping costs down and affording them the opportunity to compete in the end of season championship. Anglers who compete in 7 of 9 events in one division, or 8 events in a combination of divisions will qualify for a chance to fish for a new Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XS package at the championship event. The 2022 Championship will be held November 3-5 at Lake Okeechobee. Teams who compete in 12 or more events during the season will qualify for a chance to win the Michael J. Blocher Memorial Award during the championship event.
