Son and Mother Team Take Lead on Day 1 of Xtreme Bass Series Championship with a MegaBag

Lake Wales, FL- Kyle Brewer and his mother Cheryl Brewer of the Central Florida division took a commanding lead on Day 1 of the 2025 Xtreme Bass Series Championship presented by Blazer Boats, Mercury Marine, and Visit Central Florida Sports, topping the 170 boat field. The Brewer’s set a MegaBag full of Kissimmee Chain lunkers on the scale, a 32.64 pound, 5 bass limit. The leading bag was anchored by the Big Bass of the Day, an 8.58 lb. Trophy Catch.

In second place was the team of Drew Carter and Bobby Lane, Jr. The Central Florida divisional champions put together a 27.68 pound, 5 bass limit, anchored by the 2nd Big Bass of the Day, a 7.98-pound kicker.

Third place was secured by the North River divisional champions, Lee Stalvey and Parker Stalvey. The father and son duo set a 27.54 pound, 5 bass limit on the scales to secure a top 3 after day 1.

Rounding out the Top 5 are the teams of 3x Xtreme Bass Series Champions Jeremy Smith and Jim Folks with 26.05 pounds in fourth place, followed by Colby Evans and Will Evans in fifth place with 24.04 pounds.
